Dr. Kuipers Wins Young Investigator Award

hedwichtc3Congratulations to Dr. Hedwich Kupiers for receiving a Young Investigator Grant from the Stanford Institute for Immunity, Transplantation, and Infection (ITI)!   Hedwich’s work is on heparan sulfate – IL2 interactions in the control of autoimmunity.

Dr. Kuipers hopes that these findings will have broad implications for our understanding of immune tolerance in tissues and open up new avenues for the treatment of autoimmunity.

Liz Burgener received a Child Health Research Institute (CHRI) Clinical Trainee Grant for studying phage titers and clinical outcomes in Cystic Fibrosis patients.

Ben Danielson received a T32 Immunology Training Grant for continuing his postdoctoral work.

Koshika Yadava received a Child Health Research Institute (CHRI) Postdoctoral Award for her work in potentiating tolerance to allergens in asthma.
